Join us for BED night at DOTA
On Wednesday, 10 pm at DOTA (6:30 & Athens on the Ring Road), BED
(the Bureau of Erotic Discourse) will be showing "The Line," a 24 minute
documentary about one woman's search to understand why she was sexually
assaulted. Along the way she interviews a diverse set of women and men
(even her assailant) about the nature of consent and how it is
expressed. This provocative movie has lead to a campaign to spark
dialogue about healthy relationships and consensual sex.
Dr. Placebo says: When my wife and I watched the movie we found it unusual in its
frankness and approach. Far from being against sex, The Line celebrates
sex that is mutually desired, and raises questions about how people
delude themselves around sexual consent.
We encourage people to watch The Line and discuss how they feel and
think about the issues raised. As part of The Line Campaign we invite
you to express your own line on consent.

B.E.D. (the Bureau of Erotic Discourse) offers "Clarity and Consent," a playshop about effectively communicating sexual desires and boundaries and preventing sexual assault. We have improv, audience participation, and some time-tested tips about getting what you want and avoiding what you don't want on the playa. B.E.D. is emphatically sex positive, gender and orientation inclusive and welcomes volunteers and discussion.
